We have always gotten a lot of question regarding AR platform rifles. We have a long time connection to large frame AR’s with our founder Dane Miller beginning his practical long range competition experience using a DPMS LR-308 Winchester. Although many would look down their nose at his rifle, they were often doing it while looking up at Dane as he stood on the podium. The drive to compete at the highest level eventually influenced Dane to take up a bolt action rifle. We have since built a reputation for consistently producing exemplary precision rifles used by; recreational shooters, PRS competitors, law enforcement officers and big game hunters.

When we decided to cut our teeth on the AR platform we began by producing barrels for the AR-15. The barrels started with the same blanks, machines and methods used to produce our bolt action rifles. Our goal was to build an AR-15 utilizing our barrel that could rival our bolt action rifles in accuracy using factory ammunition. We used a heavy marksman contour, rifle-length gas system and precision machined extension. We finished the barrels with 1/2″ x 28 tpi muzzle threads and proceeded to build a 16.2″ and 18″ rifle.

As you can see from the above results the rifles are shooting very well. We have been able to regularly achieve ~0.64 MOA at 100 yards using Federal Gold Medal Match 77 grain ammunition. The barrels have also produced ~0.75 MOA using lesser ammunition like Magtech 77 grain. We are happy with these results but still plan to incorporate more improvements into the barrel which hopefully allows us to achieve a consistent 0.5 MOA. We will also continue dialing in gas port diameters so the rifles run reliably with a wide range of factory .223 Remington & 5.56x45mm NATO ammunition.

Our intent is to offer complete AR-15 uppers to our clients. These uppers will feature our rifle-gas barrel, a head spaced bolt and 12.5″ hand guard. We will then assemble and test fire each upper before it goes to our client. We also intend to start development of a large frame offering chambered in 6 Creedmoor & 6.5 Creedmoor beginning in 2021.

*Accuracy results: We have been basing our accuracy results on the average of 4 (5) round 100 yard groups shot prone using a bipod and rear bag (BOAT/Box Of Ammo Test).
